Building and Environmental permit for the Arke stadium extension become irrevocable
ENSCHEDE, 22nd of February 2008
Today FC Twente '65 has reached an agreement with two persons who had objected to the extension of the stadium from 13,500 to 25,000 seats. As a result of this agreement both the Building permit as well as the Environmental permit for the stadium extension become irrevocable.
The construction of the new second tier which had started just before Christmas is now on full speed. While the club still plays it premiership matches inside the stadium the prefab elements of the second tier are being mounted. After the last regular competition match on April 20th the old roof will be dismantled and the new roof mounted.
With the last procedural hurdles overcome, the club is confident the new stadium will be ready for the first match of the new season on 13/14 September 2008.
