GRONINGEN, 23rd of June 2007
After 3 group matches, the Euroborg stadium successfully staged the UEFA under-21 final on June 23rd. Twelve months after their triumph in Portugal the Dutch side prolonged their title as European Champions under-21, the first home team ever to win the championship.
Euroborg stadium, managed by The Stadium Consultancy, was opened on 13th January 2006 and immediately thereafter was incorporated in the bid by the Royal Netherlands Football Association (KNVB) to host the 2007 Under-21 championship.
