TSC appointed consultants for the Warsaw National Stadium

The Ministry of Sport in Poland has appointed The Stadium Consultancy to prepare the commercial programme for the new National Stadium in Warsaw.
The new National Stadium, designed by JSK Architects in collaboration with GMP International will hosts the opening match of Euro 2012 and have a capacity of 55.000 seats. It will be built inside the old National Stadium which had become obsolete since 1983.
Through its retractable roof and multifunctional design it will be capable to host a wide range of world class non football events, from rock concerts to motorised sports.
Construction of the stadium will start in October 2008 with the opening scheduled for teh 3rd quarter of 2011.
