FC Twente Stadium Upgrades

The Stadium Consultancy oversaw various upgrades at FC Twente’s Grolsch Veste stadium. 

We managed various projects, among which the installation of safe standing seating across multiple zones of the stadium. Approximately 2,900 rail-seats with an integrated barrier were installed at the Vak-P stand, following a joint tender we issued for safe-standing seating across multiple Dutch football stadiums. The original color pattern of the previous seating has been integrated into the new rail seats to enhance to stadium’s atmosphere. On the 2nd tier of Grolsch Veste Stadium above Vak P and in the away stand, barriers were allocated to facilitate safe standing. Additionally, we managed various projects that were undertaken to improve the safety of Grolsch Veste Stadium’s away stand. 

For these projects we developed the technical specifications and requirements, supervised and monitored the installation, and oversaw the commissioning of the projects upon completion. Additionally, we ensured compliance with the Dutch FA’s safe-standing regulations. 

The projects were executed during the summer break, while simultaneously  the grass pitch was replaced, new LED boarding was installed on the 2nd tier of the stadium and the stadium’s main restaurant was being renovated. As a result, all projects were executed with tight schedules to ensure readiness for the start of the new football season.
