Nove Bazaly Stadium Programme of Requirements

The Stadium Consultancy was contracted by the City of Ostrava and FC Banik Ostrava to develop the Programme of Requirements of the club’s new stadium at the Bazaly site. The site had been the club’s home until 2015 and is currently being used as their training centre. The city and the club aimed for a return to the site and develop a landmark stadium for the city by leveraging the unique hill-side location of the Bazaly site.

The objective of the project is to create a boutique football stadium with a capacity of approximately 20,000 seats, that provides unique experiences for various segments of fans and that can be optimally used on non-match days, having a function for both the local community of Ostrava and for the club as their designated training centre.

The Programme of Requirements will serve as a guide for the architect in designing the venue and ensures that the interests of the main stakeholders (club, city, local authorities, FACR, UEFA, etc.) are correctly considered in the design.

The Stadium Consultancy was responsible for:

  • The Programme of Requirements of the new stadium and integrated training facility.
  • Providing stadium specialist expertise on:
    • Premium hospitality concepts;
    • General admission concepts;
    • Spectator comfort & welfare;
    • Back-of-house logistics;
    • Non-match day usage;
    • Integrated training facilities.
