NUOVO STADIO CAGLIARI CALCIO

As part of a programme of the Italian Lega Nazionale Professionisti Serie B – B Futura- to support their member clubs in the upgrading of their stadium infrastructure, The Stadium Consultancy was contracted to develop the plans for a new stadium for Cagliari Calcio.

Situated 4 km from the City Centre of Cagliari at the Mediterranean waterfront of the Sant’Elia district, the stadium is part of a mixed use development, with approx. 20,000 m2 GLA of commercial area.

For this proposed new 24,000 seat capacity stadium The Stadium Consultancy prepared the fo

llowing elements of the planning application (Conferenzi di Servizi):

• the overall project plan;
• the financial feasibility study;
• the programme of requirements (employers’ requirements);
• the concept design for the stadium and retail;
• the masterplan.

After approval of the planning application by the City of Cagliari, The Stadium Consultancy is assisting the club in the selection process of the design team for the stadium as well as in the design management process.
