Saudi Stadia Business Case Reviews

The Ministry of Sports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has initiated the construction and redevelopment of various football stadiums throughout the country stemming from its Vision 2030’s ambition to host major global events. As part of this initiative, The Stadium Consultancy was appointed as specialist stadium consultant, within a multidisciplinary team, to review the business cases for several key stadium projects overseen by the Ministry.

In the planning phases of the stadium projects, MoS uses a “5 Cases Model”, which is a framework consisting of a strategic, economic, administrative, commercial and financial business case to develop a comprehensive business plan. Our role focused on evaluating the business cases prepared by the lead consultants (LC) of the respective stadiums. Drawing on our industry expertise, we provided the lead consultants with recommendations that informed revision and enhancements to the business cases for each project.

Our responsibilities included:

  • Review of the administrative business case
  • Review of the commercial business case
  • Review of the financial business case
  • Review of design implications on the business case
