The Stadium Consultancy was responsible for developing a methodology for monitoring the progress of the development of all 8 stadiums (initially 12) for UEFA EURO 2012 in Poland & Ukraine.
The objective of the methodology was to monitor actual progress of the projects as well as identify all risks related to the timely delivery of the projects and according to UEFA’s requirements (Stadium Agreements), as early as possible.
To this end a system of bi-monthly progress reporting was setup, using standardised templates for the base report as well as prescribed annexes, such as planning and overlay plans. For each project a dynamic risk register was established. Based on the reports submitted, regular Stadium Review Meetings with the LOC, host cities and stadium project teams were organised to discus critical issues identified and the risk mitigation measures available.
Upon start of construction of the projects the Review Meetings were combined with Site Inspections to identify construction risks and detailed compliance issues.
Reporting was done to the EURO 2012 Steering Group and UEFA ExCo.
