The Stadium Consultancy is member of the client project management team for Feyenoord City, the proposed new 63,000-seat capacity stadium for Feyenoord Rotterdam.
The new € 365 million stadium, prominently located at the banks of the river Maas, will function as a catalyst for the urban regeneration of Rotterdam South. The overall development, labelled Feyenoord City, and which also includes the redevelopment of the old “De Kuip” stadium, consists of 255,000m2 housing, 64,000m2 commercial program and 83,000m2 public programme. The stadium is being designed by the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), with LOLA Landscape Architects for the landscape and Royal HaskoningDHV for the engineering disciplines.
As specialist stadium consultant within the client project management team, The Stadium Consultancy is responsible for:
- Aligning stadium design with employers’ requirements and business case;
- Assisting the design team with the development of stadium specific solutions, in areas such as the bowl design, general program distribution, accessibility, safety & security, hospitality & catering, pitch design, back of house logistics, multifunctional use, etc.
- Design reviews;
- Participate in value engineering sessions;
- Warranting UEFA compliance.
