Feyenoord Rotterdam and Stadion Feijenoord have presented an updated business case for the proposed new stadium. This version 2.0 of the business case takes into consideration the conclusions and recommendations of the independent review of the previous business case by the International Stadia Group. Moreover, in the new business case the ‘performance fee’ for Feyenoord Rotterdam has increased from € 17.5 to € 25 million. The schematic design of the stadium, prepared by OMA, was already approved by the board of Feyenoord Rotterdam and Stadion Feijenoord in December 2018.

Detailed design will be completed in the summer of 2019 and contracting of the general contractor is scheduled for 2020 (see: https://www.feyenoord-city.nl/actueel/nieuw-stadion-b-v-selecteert-bouwteampartner-voor-nieuwe-stadion/).

The Stadium Consultancy joined the project early 2018 and will continue its role as specialist stadium consultant to the client project management team.
