Al Wakrah FIFA World Cup Stadium

The Stadium Consultancy was appointed as specialist stadium consultant to the project managers of the Al Wakrah Stadium, a 45,000 seat capacity stadium for the FIFA World Cup 2022.

Our key responsibility was to assist the design management team to ensure  FIFA Compliance of the design prepared by Zaha Hadid Architects & AECOM and to provide advice on stadium operations issues (F&B, hospitality, inclusive design, etc.) as to warrant a safe, secure and welcoming match-day experience.

The Stadium Consultancy was responsible for:

• Design reviews and compliance checks;
• Specialist advice on various critical design areas, such as dynamic crowd modeling, safety & security design, accessibility, lifecycle management aspects, O&M and pitch design.
• Participating in key milestone presentations and reviews on behalf of the Client (“Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy”);
• Value engineering workshops.
