Georgia National Stadium Development

The national government of Georgia has aimed for the construction of a new national stadium in Tbilisi. The venue is envisioned to become the home for Georgian football and rugby, in addition to other sports and major events such as concerts, ultimately to elevate Georgia’s presence on the global sports and event stage.

The national stadium will be a multi-purpose stadium with a capacity of approximately 70,000, that is compliant with the relevant standards and requirements for international tournaments and events, including for the UEFA Champions League Final. The Stadium Consultancy was appointed to guide the Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of Georgia through the development of the project, which included the selection of the most suitable location within the available sites, the development of a detailed stadium concept and a corresponding financial assessment, next to setting up the framework for the further course of the project.
