Following the success of the first round of inspections of Indonesian stadiums, The Stadium Consultancy was again appointed by FIFA to visit and inspect more venues across the archipelago. The stadiums are currently being built or renovated by the Ministry of Public Works & Housing.
The Stadium Consultancy headed the FIFA and PSSI delegation as Stadium & Infrastructure consultant to support them with specialized stadium expertise. Building on the findings of the first phase, The Stadium Consultancy was tasked with auditing the safety, security and service levels of 13 stadiums, with a focus on stadium ingress, access control (emergency egress), spectator welfare and circulation.
The findings from the audits of both phases were combined in an assessment report and a series of workshops in Jakarta with key stakeholders of Indonesian football, to support PSSI and FIFA in developing detailed safety guidelines, certification systems and recommendations for stadium improvement tailored to Indonesian football.
